Privacy Policy

How NSTNT handles Bluetooth observations, AI explanations, and information you choose to share.

Last updated September 28, 2026

Who is responsible

Licorice Studio LLC is responsible for the NSTNT.AI service described here. Privacy questions: support@nstntx.com.

Bluetooth information stays in the app

With Bluetooth permission, NSTNT processes signals visible to your iPhone. Records can include iOS-assigned peripheral identifiers, advertised names, signal strength, service identifiers, manufacturer and service advertisement data, observation times, connection evidence, device categories, and the names and trust choices you set.

These records are stored in the app’s local storage to recognize familiar devices, compare observations, and display the timeline. The current app does not send them to an NSTNT server. It does not read Bluetooth message contents, your contacts, photos, microphone, or GPS location. Advertised device names can still contain personal information.

AI explanations

When you ask for an explanation, NSTNT sends aggregate counts and monitoring status to Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework. The prompt does not include nearby device names, peripheral identifiers, raw advertisement payloads, or freeform event text. NSTNT does not send this scan prompt to an external AI service. Apple controls the operating-system model, its availability, and related system services.

Permissions and notifications

Bluetooth permission enables discovery and observation. Optional notifications are created locally to report connection observations. Notification content may be visible on your lock screen depending on your iPhone settings. You can change Bluetooth access and notification permissions in Settings. Revoking access stops the corresponding feature but does not erase saved history.

Accounts, advertising, and payments

The current app does not require an NSTNT account and has no advertising or advertising-tracking SDK. We do not sell local Bluetooth records or use them for targeted advertising. If you obtain the app or make a purchase through Apple, Apple processes your store account and payment information under its own policies. This website does not collect card details.

Subscription information and RevenueCat

NSTNT uses RevenueCat to check Apple purchases, restore subscriptions, and determine access to paid features. RevenueCat processes purchase history, transaction and subscription status, product identifiers, and a generated app-user identifier. We use this information for subscription functionality, fraud prevention, and subscription reporting. NSTNT does not provide your Bluetooth observations, device names, email address, or phone number to RevenueCat. Apple handles payment details; NSTNT does not receive your card number.

Subscription records are held separately from the Bluetooth records stored on your phone. Deleting the app does not automatically delete purchase records or cancel billing. Contact us about subscription-data requests; some records may need to be retained for legal or transaction purposes. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy for information about its processing.

Website visits and cookies

The website’s own code does not set cookies, use local storage, run advertising pixels, or load third-party analytics. When a website is hosted, its hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and time to deliver the site and protect it. A private preview may also use hosting-platform sign-in and session cookies, governed by that platform’s notice. External links take you to services with their own policies.

When you contact support

If you contact us, we receive the address you use, your message, and any attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to answer you, investigate the issue, maintain service security, and comply with legal obligations. Please omit passwords, payment details, and unrelated personal information. Crop or redact device names and identifiers in screenshots unless necessary to explain your issue.

Support communications may be handled by email or support-service providers acting for us. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer with appropriate protections. We do not receive your phone’s local scan records unless you choose to send them.

Retention and deletion

Device profiles remain locally until the app’s data is removed. The current version retains up to 1,500 timeline events, 300 findings, 500 trust events, and 20 recent observations per device, replacing older items as those limits are reached. Other saved profile and baseline information may remain longer. iOS or computer backups may contain app data depending on your settings.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve and follow up on the issue and meet applicable legal requirements. The hosting provider controls its own technical-log retention. See data and deletion for local removal, backup considerations, and privacy requests.

Your choices and rights

You can stop scanning, revoke permissions, and remove local data. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your privacy regulator. Contact support@nstntx.com to make a request. We may need proportionate verification and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. We cannot remotely access or erase records held only on your phone.

Where a legal basis is required, we process support information to provide requested assistance, pursue legitimate interests in maintaining and securing the service, comply with legal duties, or obtain consent where required. Service providers may process support or website information in other countries; legally required safeguards apply to transfers.

Children

NSTNT is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit their personal information through support or this website. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.

Security and changes

Local app data relies on your device and operating-system protections; no system is perfectly secure. Keep your iPhone updated and protected with a passcode. We will update this policy when our practices change and give additional notice or seek consent where required.
